Baby Massage

Give your baby the best start in life. Learn how to massage your baby - a special time to share.

Baby massage helps you to establish a warm, positive parent-child relationship. The nurturing touch helps the baby's emotional and physical development, it soothes and eases discomforts, colic, constipation and teething. It promotes relaxation and sleep and makes for a secure and confident child.

The International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) is a global organisation and the world-class standard for the training and teaching of baby massage. The course used in these sessions has been designed exclusively for babies and children. It uses a combination of Indian massage (to relieve tension), Reflexology (for wellbeing), Swedish massage (to calm and relax), and finally Baby Yoga (safe exercise). The classes are fun, strokes easy to learn and they work! Due to Amanda's profession she offers tips which are relevant to the part of the body you are massaging for example, colic, reflux with the tummy, sleep with the back etc. Mats, oils and handouts provided for the course, a great way to meet other mums. Suitable for all babies from six weeks to crawling. Group sessions, Post-natal groups welcome. Private groups and 1:1 sessions in your own home are available. Prices vary.

Baby Yoga with Mums

Birthlight® Baby yoga is a beautiful follow on from Amanda's baby massage, a perfect companion. You'll be amazed at what babies can do!

Babies have open hearts and minds and are ready to embrace new experiences. They are eager for communication and interaction. Their bodies are flexible and unfolding. Whilst assisting babies physical, emotional and social development, baby yoga provides the stimulation of touch, movement and rhythm as well as the stillness of deep relaxation.

Baby yoga uses gentle stretches, massage, movement and playful interaction providing the perfect balance of activity and relaxation. You will become familiar with baby yoga poses and sequences, relaxing holds, walks, lifts, swings and dips alongside rhythm and rhyme. Pregnancy Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy

Holistic Aromatherapy is a natural therapy and healing art using essential oils extracted from aromatic plants to enhance the health of an individual.

Controlled use of these pure essential oils is without side-effects and is non addictive and the professional blending of the oils is tailored to suit individual needs. The therapeutic properties of these oils significantly improves physical and psychological well-being and when the correct oils are selected, aromatherapy works quickly and effectively - it complements conventional medicine. Regular treatments will help optimum health and vitality and improve specific problems.
